Auto level

#1

Hey y’all. I got a flsun cube 3d printer. Had some issues with the old board so I got a new one, contacted the company and got the firmware for my printer. After some time I got it working and printing. But ever since I worked out the bugs I haven’t been able to start my prints on the bed. Normally it’s about an inch above the Bed. Meaning I’ll have to manually adjust the bed for the first layer while it’s printing, Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thank you in advanced !

Hi JK,

Couple of questions:
[list]
[]Have you set your z-offset?
[
]What happens to the extruder when you home the z-axis?
[*]Do you know what firmware your printer uses (EG: Marlin?)

I have not set my z offset yet🤔
My z homes perfectly.

My software should be the one I added as an attachment.

Hi JK,

It very well may be your z-offset, then. Go into your Marlin config.h and look for the line:

#define Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -1.4 // Z offset: -below +above [the nozzle]

Making this number closer to zero (less negative) will bring your nozzle closer to the bed when it starts printing. Be careful, changing this number too much will run the nozzle into the bed, so try small increments at first. Also, don’t forget to reinitialize the eeprom every time you re-upload Marlin.
