BLTouch/ Z-axis issue.

#1

Hi everyone,
I recently just installed a BLtouch on my Folgertech 2020. The problem I’m having is when i run the G29 (auto level) command the BLtouch drops the pin and the Z-Axis descends like it should, but when the touch is triggered the Z-axis keeps moving down. I won’t stop until I either do an “emergeny stop” or I just unplug the power. I’m assuming its an error in the settings and/or firmware (Marlin 1.1.9) but I’m not sure how to fix it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I was having the same problem until I realised that the probe, when retracted wasn’t at the right height. If I remember, it has to be roughly 2.5mm above the nozzle. Any higher or lower and the head keeps going

Make sure you’ve the endstop well connect to or board (let me know which board you have). And make sure in marlin if you need to invert the logic of endstop like these: #define Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING false

I figured it out. It was a combination of firmware issues and two wires being flipped.
