I am quite new to polar 3D printers, and I was asked to manage a college project which this project is about design of polar 3D printer. I won’t get into details of the project but I couldn’t find any set of firmware and slicer that are open source.
Please share your knowledge on the subject.

There are two options. One, Use a post processor to do the Cartesian to Polar conversion. This is how I did it in the Polar3D printers. The 2nd option is to use the R360 fork of Marlin firmware.

I´m currently working on a big polar printer and found klipper to be a good alternative to bypass the limited 8 bit processing or the huge file size of converted code.
Kevin, the lead developer kindly wrote a demo code for polar printers a few weeks ago. There is still much to do but it prints very well already.
I can support you through the setup process of these type of printers if neccessary.
